Copyright is a legal concept, giving the creator of an original work exclusive right to it, usually for a limited time. Generally, it is "the right to copy", but also gives the copyright holder the right to be credited for the work, to determine who may adapt the work to other forms, who may perform the work and who may financially benefit from it.
Copyright is an important concept to look at when creating a music video and makes you aware at all times not to duplicate any work that has already been made. In doing this project we also had to look at copyright when making the digipack and album cover to make sure there were no other artists with the same name. We have names our album 'Discovery' and have recently found out that this might be another album name already, after finding this information out we are going to research into it and if true, come up with a different name.
